G'day, mates!

    Although, I guess it's not really day anymore, it's dark outside.  Either way, welcome to my blog!
    First-posts really have no weight, they're done more to establish who I am, why I'm here and so I can see what the final product of a blog post will look like before opening my page to the general public to devour. Most of what you need to know is elsewhere on the page, though it is still under construction as it's new.  Hopefully I'll be done soon. ;)

    To fill the criteria I mentioned above:
    I am Desi, I'm here blogging my life and maybe a few other things.  I'm very expressive, opinionated and rarely filter what comes out of my mouth (or on to the keyboard), so I speak my mind a lot and that can rub people the wrong way, I'm one of those "hate me or love me" people but not the annoying kind that posts it all the time.  I swear, that is the first and last time I'll type that phrase in reference to myself, I'm not stupid.  P.S., I really love speaking with an Aussie accent even though I'm no where near Australia or Australian.  Just dig it. :)
    I'm here because I actually love writing, but I'm not majoring in it and an outlet for my textual energies sounds wonderful.  I had a blog once before this one but when I became Editor-In-Chief of my school newspaper, writing in my leisure wasn't all that fun anymore, so I just abruptly stopped.  If you wanna catch the prequel, check out desitaylor.  It's not very good, I wouldn't.
    I love feedback!  Negative or positive, preferably something actually coherent.  I will probably respond to people who have something of value to say, so check back if your comment is more than fifty-ish words. :)
    My background will constantly change, depending on what's going on in my life time-wise.  Since I'm limited to a semester and some Myspace of HTML experience and this whole thing is pretty much a "status update," to keep things interesting I'll just change the picture from time to time.  To start, the background is a tornado in Iowa because I'll be headed there for my boyfriends, Quinn, family reunion.  After that will be one of New York since I'm headed there, and I may do fun ones of my friends and I, holidays, epic movies and so on.  I'll keep an archive of all the pictures I post so newbies can check them out if they'd like, or if you've just been absent a while, you can see what you've missed.  I'll also have a post on the left explaining what the current background is, what it's for and so on.

Hopefully you like it, I actually can be quite interesting. ;)
