Nooh Joisey

Holy crap, it's been over a week since I've last blogged!  I intended to send a blog out while in Arizona, make a video heading to NJ and then have one blog in NJ done by now.  Unfortunately that's not what happened. :)  I was just so busy the entire time I was home and I've been so, so exhausted every day I've been here (I still am now) that when I wasn't out in the world, I was out cold.  Moving on.

In Arizona I saw Transformers 3 and it was surprisingly really good.  Rotten Tomatoes gave it 36% so I figured it'd suck but after viewing I think R.T. is being harsh, it deserves at least a 50%, even by their tough standards.  The only part that really annoyed me was this new chick he was with, Carly.  One, you don't change leading ladies ever and two, everyone thinks she's so hot but the only thing I found appealing was her lips, and I don't even know if they're as attractive as they are weird.  That last picture of her was rather unattractive though, so maybe I'm not crazy, hah.  Also while home, I saw Horrible Bosses!  It was great and Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 73% if that says anything for you! :) Despite R.T.'s analysis of the flick, I thought if fabulously funny and I kind of really want to see it again now that I think about it.  Any takers? :) Besides its ability to make me nearly pee my pants, Jason Bateman is in it and I'm weirdly in love with him. :) You should go see it!

I flew into JFK Monday and my mom and I had a driver take us to Lisa (my moms best friend) and Pat's house in New Jersey where we're staying.  Unfortunately, we were not met by fist pumping, gel haired, orange giudos and guidettes, but the car was a Lincoln and I had no idea that the seats would feel like a friggin' bed.  I don't know how I didn't know that car seats could be so comfortable but now the thought of mine depresses me.  Oh, well, my car is cuter!  Anyway, since it was a five hour flight, a two hour car ride and a three hour time difference we pretty much lost our day and just sat at home Monday. Tuesday we spent ten hours in the city (if you've ever been all you need to know it that's WAY too long to be there when you don't live there) after taking a train to get there, bought a bunch of stuff, took a subway to another part of the city and back, hopped back on a train and came home where I promptly crashed.  I should say that I'm actually a bit sick right now, so I need more sleep than I've been getting and doing way more exploring than I should if I want to get better, so that's why I'm so easily wiped right now.  Today was much more low-key, my mom, Lisa and I went to a mall in New Jersey and I bought even more stuff and came home.  We're supposed to go to Chinatown at some point and I really don't know how I'm gonna get all these clothes back home.  I may have to send some in the mail. :)

Otherwise there hasn't been much to talk about, so I and my new 908 area-coded phone shall sign off! ;)

Firework

Patriots realized it's the fourth of July, others thought of Katy Perry. I won't condone you, both are wonderful! And all you haters, shut your mouths; here we love our country and our Katy. <3

Iowa is amazing! Every single day I want to live here more, if you couldn't tell by my new background. And no, I didn't pull that one off of Google Images, I took that myself! You can get an unobstructed view and an explanation of what it is here, and you just might be amazed! I know I was. Between how green everything is, how small the towns are, the gorgeous - and I mean absolutely gorgeous - real estate, how much history there is and how amazing every experience is, I'm starting to wish a good law school was built here so I could at least spend my grad years in paradise. Maybe I'll poke around and see what I can do, because D.C. and Boston are way too far away!

New York better blow my mind. I'm sure it will. :) I am a small-town girl but I'm also a real estate freak (if you didn't figure that out already) and New York is the grandest of the grand. Pre-Civil War buildings on the Upper East Side? I think I'm in love. I'll also be looking at the Met, maybe the Statue of Liberty but definitely every museum and gallery I can find. I hate being the tourist, but the crowded streets of the Big Apple just don't sound like my thing. I'll be through there, of course, but I'm more excited for Central Park :) Maybe even the Central Perk! :D I'll also - hopefully, crossing my fingers - be seeing Book of Mormon! Please nobody hate me! It's been given the highest of the high in reviews and I have to see a Broadway play. Not want to, have to. I still love you, reciprocate? :) Finally, of course, there will be shopping. I have been saving as much as possible and it looks like I'll have quite a decent amount to re-pad my closet with. I've given away - no joke - at least 75% of my closet because I just don't wear the clothes. They hang there looking pretty but they're simply not my style anymore and I'm ready to repopulate. :) I love how as I go down the paragraph of what I'm going to do in New York, each item takes less brain cells than the one before it to grasp why it'd be fun. I least I don't need to sort out my priorities!

Speaking of Harry Potter! Guess who found his home in Iowa? This girl! This house is seriously so amazing. I'm going to try to take you all on a video tour of it tomorrow when it's light outside and pretty and you can actually see it, but that may prove difficult as there are six people in the house and I don't think they want to be filmed.  But, hey, that back yard's the closest thing to Eden I've seen with my two eyes, maybe they'll be out there long enough for my to film the inside and vice versa.

Happy Fourth, all, and God Bless America!

P.S., did any of you notice I have ads on my site now?  I'm in the big leagues! :D  Or at least Google AdSense thinks so.  Every time someone clicks on one of my ads, I get a lil' money!  But don't all of you get click crazy on me, I know you love me and you just want to give me as much of other peoples money as you can but you and I could get into a lot of trouble, excessive clicking is illegal!  I am in no way encouraging you to click on ads for my personal gains with this or any prior or future statement.  Now, with that said, if you see an interesting ad... ;) just kidding!
