Let the good times roll

So I left you last time about to go retake the ALEKS to see if I could test out of Reading... Guess who has two thumbs, a crooked smile and went up twelve points on her test?  This girl!  I ended with a 104 out of 114. :) That feels great.

I signed up for classes the same day and ended up with English M/W/F 8-8:50, Theater M/W/F 9-9:50, Math M-F 11-11:50, and Choir M/W 12-12:50 and T/T 12-1:15.  For those of you who visualize what you're told like me, you realized that I have my first class at 8 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but 11 on Tuesdays and Thursdays!  Ridiculous, am I right? Yes, I am.  However, I didn't notice that until after I noticed the gap from 10 to 10:50 in my schedule.  After hours of looking for that time slot, I've decided God just wants me to study and grab a coffee every day, so I gave up.  Back to the Tuesday and Thursday debacle.  There was no-friggin'-way I was going to have that kind of a gap every other day every week and after two days of looking I decided that maybe I'd just get a job at a coffee shop or breakfast place that opens super early so I could work an early shift before going to school, and after mild poking for a day, that didn't seem promising.  Then finally, after three days of searching and stressing that any open class would surely fill (I'd found many that fit my time slot that were indeed already full) I found the winning ticket.  Now, my schedule looks like this. I still get a break for homework, coffee or a meal, and I get to wake up around the same time I normally do.  I plan my outfits, so I'll probably just wake up at the same time every day and spend my extra time on Tuesday and Thursday preparing for looks that require a little more time, like curls! :) Ha ha ha, all I could think about while typing that last sentence was all the guys reading this.  Sorry!

Gah, I leave for Iowa Wednesday. Wednesday!  I'm so stoked.  On a random note, I always seem to be watching a movie when I blog.  This time it's Just Friends with the super attractive Ryan Reynolds.  I'm not the type of person to have celebrity crushes (I believe my last one was Daniel Radcliffe when he looked like this.  I was 11.)  but if you say you can resist that, then you're a freaking liar.  (P.S., if you watch the first 18 seconds of the video, it's wrong... he's not taken anymore! Ah, my chances have gone up ;D)

It's late and I still have to edit this, good night and good bye!

Love, Desi
